The heart of the Caucasus, Tbilisi is one of the world’s oldest human settlements — dating back to 4,000 BC! Today, Tbilisi has an insanely cool creative scene that blends new and old, east and west — which makes its way into the architecture of the city’s AirBnB scene.
I loved the labyrinth of the Old Tbilisi’s cobblestone streets, dome-shaped sulfur baths, and beautiful homes with wooden verandas. I could have stayed there are just snapped photos for days.
When we weren’t walking around the Old Town, Drew and I were enjoying the wonderful food (hello, khachapuri) and wine that Georgia is known for.
Though it might not be common knowledge back home, wine is a key part of Georgia’s cultural identity. Wine has been produced in this region for more than 8,000 years!
Tbilisi draws creative types who have created quite a bohemian art and architecture scene. And while the apartments might look crumbly from the street, inside they are anything but!
Tbilisi is a very budget-friendly city to visit. Hotel rooms and apartments average around $30 USD per day. So, get ready to live like a rockstar! Here are some of the best Airbnb apartments you can stay in while you travel to Tbilisi.
Waterfront Apartment on Marjanishvili
This newly renovated Airbnb right on the Mtkvari river is so thoughtfully decorated you’ll never want to leave!
In addition to its beautiful decor, this apartment has a large, well-appointed bathroom with high-end finishes…and heated floors.
Sunny Loft Near the River
I’m a sucker for good architecture, and this apartment has that in spades! Beautiful arched windows let sunlight stream in — showcasing the apartment’s bold modern art pieces perfectly.
A beautiful Juliet balcony seals the deal that this is one of the best AirBnB’s in Tbilisi!
Oh, Deer!
This cozy loft apartment has lots of nice touches and is located in the heart of Old Tbilisi — walking distance to many sights and restaurants.
I love how bright and airy it is — and that terrace is so lovely! After a long day of touring Tbilisi, I can imagine making myself right at home in this Airbnb!
Colorful Boho Flat
It’s easy to say that this is probably my favorite Airbnb available in Tbilisi! Not only do I love the bright colors used throughout the flat, but there are over 40 varieties of real plants inside as well!
It’s conveniently located just a three minute walk from Fabrika in a typical old-style Tbilisi building.
This flat features two large bedrooms with king size beds, so four guests can stay here comfortably. And don’t miss the bathroom! There is a large full bath with a bathtub and separate shower as well as a separate guest toilet!
