18 Dec Stocking Stuffers That Really Pack a Punch
One of my favorite memories of childhood Christmases is the thought and care my mom would put into curating the perfect stocking for me my dad and me. My stocking stuffers always included the latest YM magazine (I always wanted Cosmo, but she said it was too raunchy!), a book of LifeSaver candies, some Reese’s peanut butter and chocolate trees, and Cella’s chocolate-covered cherries (liquid center not that gross cream stuff). Everything else was just random finds that she would collect throughout the year that she thought we’d love.
Thinking back on this time in my life makes me really nostalgic because two years ago my mom was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia — a rare form of dementia that causes behavioral and speech difficulties. So for my mom, here are some thoughtful ideas to include as your stocking stuffers — just like my mom would have made for me when I was a kid.
