Tales By Light
If you want to up your photography game – and do a little binge-watching at the same time — then Tales By Light is perfect for you!
The show follows wanderlusting, globetrotting, world-famous Australian and North American photographers to see exactly what goes into capturing a powerful image that tells a story.
Tales By Light also puts an emphasis on highlighting different cultures and current issues – while showing amazingly beautiful, remote places along the way.

Ugly Delicious
James Beard Award-winning chef David Chang travels to culinary hotspots around the globe. On the quest to find delicious cuisine, he has real conversations with local people about their culture and life.
Jimmy Kimmel and Nick Kroll (you may know him from his comedy as well as the Netflix show Badmouth) are guests.

James May: Our Man in Japan
English journalist James May spends three months traveling across Japan from its icy north to its balmy south. He sees common tourist destinations and some – well, not so common sights – like a giant robot fighting arena. He’s funny and likeable – and totally binge-worthy.

Around the Next Bend
Drew and I spent about a month in India a few years ago. I expected it to be this magical, mystical time. But quite simply, I was overwhelmed by so much of it.
Around the Next Bend follows two young guys as they travel halfway around the world to embark on a 1,553-mile rafting expedition down the Ganges River.
India is a beautiful country filled with kind and generous people. But, I love that this documentary series doesn’t sugarcoat the country or try to make it something that it’s simply not.
If you want to go to India, and I recommend that you do, watch Around the Next Bend first.
Larry Charles' Dangerous World of Comedy
Acclaimed TV and film director (think Seinfield and Borat), Larry Charles, travels to some unlikely destinations in an attempt to understand what it means to be a comic in these areas.
From war zones to Indian reservations, to theocracies (India and Iran) and Communist countries (Russia and China), Larry speaks with local comics to discover how dangerous and meaningful the world of comedy can be.
Street Food Asia & Street Food Latin America
From the creators of Chef’s Table come two programs Street Food Asia and Street Food Latin America. Every episode focuses heavily on the cities’ history and culture and each chef’s background. What I love the most is that unlike other travel shows, the Street Food series has no host. Rather, they let the vendors truly speak for themselves.
Street Food Asia takes viewers to the best street food spots in nine East Asian cities.
Street Food Latin America showcases local dishes from Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru.
I love hearing the back stories of the chef’s profiled in the series. One that sticks out in particular is Dalchand Kashyap’s from Delhi, India.
The stories Dalchand shares of bringing his family back together through food – rising above struggles thanks to an entrepreneurial spirit – were so touching.
With each episode at around 30 minutes – it’s the perfect binge any time – we like to watch it while we’re eating lunch!

Conan Without Borders
Conan’s docu-series Conan Without Borders is more enlightening and entertaining than more traditional travel shows.
If you’ve seen his late-night show, you know that he never shies away from making fun of himself. This seems to make those around him more comfortable in opening up and winds up giving a more relatable and authentic show.
Travel Man: 48 Hours In...
In Travel Man, Richard Ayoade and a celebrity travel companion head off to fun destinations to test the merits of each location as a mini-break. Many celebrities were unfamiliar to me as an American, but you’ll certainly recognize Paul Rudd, Jon Hamm, Rebel Wilson, and Lena Dunham.
He’s ruthless and peculiar – and all-around really funny with his dry, self-deprecating humor. Destinations include places like Brussels, Ibiza, Hong Kong, Miami, Moscow, Paris, Florence, Valencia and Dubai.
There are 34, 23-minute episodes available for your binge-watching pleasure!
Tip: I like to turn on the Closed Captioning because I don’t want to miss any of Richard’s hilarious comments – which he spews out quickly and with an English accent.
House Hunters International
Okay, okay so it’s not technically a travel show. But tell me you don’t just love seeing what kind of house you could afford and how people live in other countries!
Dark Tourist
Dark Tourist follows David Farrier as he explores offbeat destinations and activities in each episode. In New Orleans, you’ll get a glimpse at what it’s like to be a vampire. Or perhaps you’d like to learn about Pablo Escobar’s hitmen in Columbia or go through a faux illegal border crossing in Mexico.
Dark Tourist is not without its haters, though. Some say that this fascination with dark tourism is “an opportunity for thrill-seeking, cash-privileged Westerners to feel better about their mundane lives by trawling through global hot spots of genocide, catastrophe, and authoritarianism.”
