One of the hardest things for me to pack is always my shoes. I hate trying to figure out how to look (somewhat) stylish while also keeping comfort at a priority. Nothing — and I mean nothing — will ruin your travel plans more consistently or more quickly than a foot full of blisters.
Drew and I walk miles around a new city — one of our favorite things to do is walking tours to get our bearing. So I definitely need shoes that can stand up to that task.
I also don’t like to have to think about keeping my shoes on — so slides are generally out of the question . Except, of course, for my Birkenstocks which will always be near and dear to my heart.
I like to have five types of shoes on the ready for my travel plans: a tried and true lifestyle sneaker, a comfortable sandal, a waterproof boot, a hiking shoe, and a dressier sandal that can liven up my outfit.
