Exploring City & Country in Cape Town

We are both animal and travel lovers and couldn’t imagine a better time celebrating our marriage than combining a world-class city with watching Africa’s “Big Five” in the wild — and some excellent wine for me!

“South Africa has been called ‘A world in one country’ and for good reason – it truly offers the ideal destination for those seeking variety in their journey to Africa.” – Lion World Travel

Our tour package had us spending five days in Cape Town, where we sampled local wine and olive oil — all while driving through awe-inspiring scenery and visiting some of South Africa’s quaint Wineland and coastal towns.  After our time in stunning Cape Town, we flew to Hoedspruit — one of the gateways to Kruger National Park, South Africa’s most famous wildlife area. We spent four days in a stunning 5-star lodge dining on amazing food and watching gigantic animals in an open-top safari truck.

We really enjoyed the drive to South Africa’s Wineland and around the Mpumalanga region’s Panorama Route — including the visiting the Cape of Good Hope, feeding some ostriches, and seeing penguins! Here are some of our favorite shots from the trip.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”34px”][vc_column_text]
